  • Dow, S&P fall, Nasdaq bucks downtrend

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 turned negative in the final hour of trading on Monday. The Dow's healthcare names weighed on the benchmark with Merck, J&J and Amgen falling, while Intel and Salesforce remained higher. Healthcare was also the worst performing group in the S&P 500, while tech and materials rose. The Nasdaq Composite locked in gains helped by Apple, Amazon and Tesla. In commodities, oil rose 1% to $74.63 per barrel.
